Interview with some Dutch clients

Hello, I am Isla, a receptionist this summer at the Caussanel and I had the pleasure to interview Richard and Aldy, a Dutch couple staying at the campsite this summer with their three children. We decided to choose to interview this family because we saw that their tent was always so beautifully decorated (see the photo below), and especially for their daughter’s birthday where they put up plenty of balloons and caught everybody’s attention.

Isla: Do you camp often, and where do you tend to go?
R and A: We tend to go about two times a year; once in the spring and once in the summer. We often go to France but we have also had some lovely holidays in Italy near Lake Garda, and in Switzerland.

Isla: What is it you especially like about camping?
R and A: The kids in particular love it, but we also enjoy that it is very cosy, simplistic and although it is basic it means you can enjoy the nature in a way that no other holiday allows you to do.

Isla: Have you been to the Caussanel before?
R and A: This is our first time here!

Isla: What is your favourite aspect of Le Caussanel?
R and A: Without a doubt it has to be the beautiful view of the lake that we are lucky enough to have from our pitch that cheers us up every morning we see it!

Isla: Would you consider hiring a mobile-home or chalet, or do you prefer using a tent?
R and A: We actually have hired a mobile-home before, but it really does depend on the weather, and we find that in high season the costs associated with hiring a pitch are more attractive to us than a mobile-home or chalet.

Isla: What is it that made you decide to come to Le Caussanel?
R and A: We were lucky enough to find the campsite online and booked last minute- it was the swimming pool and the slides that attracted us and it was a happy coincidence that it all worked out!

Isla: Thank you so much for taking the time to talk to me!
Just to conclude, I would like to thank the family for being so charming and friendly with all the staff at Le Caussanel across their stay- they always had a smile on their face and cheered everyone up with their kindness. We wish them the best of luck in the future and hope to see them again!
